St. Peter's Cathedral Grade School

Class of 1963

Yes, indeedy. Graduated from grade school 50 years ago next month. Through social media, my fellow classmate David Briscoe and I have reached out to our classmates from lo, these many years ago. As of this date, we have close to 20 people who will join us on Saturday, 5/18 in KCK for a tour of the grade school, followed by 4pm Mass attendance. After that, we'll gather at the Panera on Martway in Mission, KS for Kodak moments. [I suppose more correctly they'll be camera phone moments -- although I actually DO still own a camera, albeit digital.]

Lots of interesting memories have been shared by the group, including lengthy diatribes on Miss Lord, a.k.a. Mrs. Bozich, our sixth grade teacher. She was pretty universally disliked and feared, and many of our classmates shared memories of her that are the things of nightmares and lengthy therapy sortings.

Others have chosen to post photos in social media of buildings/movie theaters from downtown KCK, vintage toys from that era, school supplies, Camp Fire Girl beads...stuff that people our age like to talk about, eh?

We have classmates coming in from CO, NC, STL, Northern CA, TX...how weird is it gonna be to lay eyes upon old friends that we haven't seen for 50 years??! I'm absolutely looking forward to this, and will surely post some followup pix and words after the event.
