Saturday the 29th will be MUSYC's fifth and final performance of the season at the Boathouse. It appears as if the weather will cooperate this time, and we don't have to pack the foul-weather gear and shower curtains for the deluge; nor will we need fans to blow the rock 'n roll stink off us while we projectile sweat during load-in and setup.
Because it will be such a nice day and evening and because there's a wine festival in Forest Park that day, it might make for quite an interesting evening. Drunk audiences CAN, occasionally, be entertaining.
Seriously, we've had the BEST crowds for the past half-dozen gigs! They listen. They applaud. They laugh when appropriate. They dance with wild, pagan abandon. They fill the tip jar. Yowzer!
I just had a conversation with a co-worker this morning about how fortunate I feel to have music in my life. It is such a key part of everything, and my world would be a darker place, indeed, without the joyful experience of listening, performing, creating music.
